Not every equipment move is a full chassis swap or body transfer. Sometimes it's a single winch that needs to move from a truck being retired to an active unit. Sometimes it's a boom being relocated from one rig to a different configuration. Sometimes it's hydraulic components, control systems, storage accessories, or specialty towing equipment that needs to move between trucks or be added to a truck from an external source. These are equipment transfer projects — and they require the same care and system knowledge as a full chassis swap, just at a different scope.
At Quik Tow Repair we handle towing equipment transfers of any scope — from a single component to multiple systems. Following NTEA commercial truck equipment installation standards, every transfer includes proper removal documentation, inspection during the process, correct installation on the receiving truck, and full testing before the truck goes back to work. If the transferred equipment has hydraulic connections, we handle reconnection and pressure testing. If it has electrical connections, we handle rewiring and circuit testing. One shop, all systems.
Equipment transfers also happen when an operator upgrades a truck by sourcing equipment from another vehicle or a separate purchase — not just when retiring a truck.
